The slow, graceful flight of the Rice Paper Butterfly (Idea leuconoe) would make it appear to be easy prey for predators, but most birds recognize that the coloring of this fragile looking creature signify it is definitely not a tasty treat. Closely related to the well-known Monarch Butterfly, this delicately marked butterfly is one of the few species able to turn its head from side to side.
