Returns and Exchanges

You can start the return process by clicking here and filling out the online form. We will get back to you within 24 hours with a return authorization and further instruction. Please read our return policy below to ensure your items are eligible.

online purchases

We are happy to accept returns for full price items from our online store (some exclusions apply*) when shipped back within 7 days of delivery. Store credit or exchange is offered when shipped beyond the 7 days and for up to 14 days after you receive your order. You can either mail back the item or bring your return to our store in Beacon Hill with your return authorization number. If you are able to return your items in-store, please shoot us an email or call ahead of time. All returns must be processed by management and we don't want to complicate your day!

*The following items are considered final sale and will not be eligible for return or exchange: 

Fragrance, Bath + Body, Socks, Tights, Food Items

Sale items and special orders are also considered final sale.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it -- no signs of wear or usage and in the original packaging. Shoes must be mailed within their shoe box and inside of a shipping box.  We do not provide return shipment labels.

local pickup orders

Local pickup orders must be picked up within 5 days of the purchase date. If you're unable to make it by within 5 days, please reach out to let us know so we can keep your items safely stored and inform you of any changes to your return or exchange options. We recommend opening your items in store to ensure they are everything you hoped for and so we can facilitate any returns or exchanges at this time. 

To qualify for a full refund, items must be returned within 48 hours of picking up your order in store. Beyond 48 hours and for up to 12 subsequent days, items will be eligible for store credit only.

IN STORE purchases

We accept items purchased in store for store credit or exchange only within 14 days of purchase, as the option to try on in store was available and you have the benefit of our thieves' eyes! We have new product coming in daily so we know we can help you find something else you love.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it -- no signs of wear or usage. 

Items worn out of the store are considered to be final sale.

Shipping and Deliveries

December Thieves offers complimentary shipping for orders within the United States over $150. 

For orders under $150 within the United States, we charge a flat rate fee of $5 for USPS Priority Shipping or UPS Ground. Fragile and oversized items ship for a flat rate of $18 for one item, and $30 for multiple.

international shipping

For orders shipping internationally, a flat rate of $40 will be charged at checkout. Fragile items are shipped internationally at our discretion and an order may be canceled if we feel shipping is not feasible. Please contact us if you have specific shipping or product inquiries.

Orders shipping to Canada will be shipped using USPS Priority International. Orders shipping elsewhere will currently be shipped using UPS.

curbside pick up orders

Local to Boston? Simply select the local pickup option at checkout with no added cost and we will notify you when your order is ready to be picked up in store.

Please note that items must be returned within 7 days of your purchase date to qualify for a full refund. If you pick up your order outside of this window, items will be eligible for store credit or exchange only, for up to 14 days from the purchase date.

Damaged Items

We pack all shipments with love but unfortunately at times, items can be damaged in transit. 

If an item arrives damaged please email us at with your order number and damage details within 3 days of delivery and we will provide you with further information (and mourn with you.)

Please do not throw out the box and original packaging that the item was shipped in as it is required for damage claims with shipping providers. Unfortunately, claims cannot be handled outside of 3 days post delivery so unpack your goodies right away!

Other Information To Know

- In the case of what we deem to be excessive returns we reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee; the customer will be informed of this at the time of order and will have the opportunity to cancel the order.

- If a specific pick up or shipping request puts delivery outside of the return/exchange window, the order is not eligible for return/exchange. 

- December Thieves is not liable for missing packages if the customer inputs outdated or incorrect shipping information at checkout. We will always do what we can to help track your order down!

- All discounted items are final sale and may not be exchanged or returned for credit; this includes markdowns and items purchased with a web discount code. We are unable to offer price adjustments on items purchased prior to a promotion. 

Items purchased with discount code obtained from newsletter signup are still eligible for return/exchange.

We will always do our best to make sure you leave happy but do reserve the right to refuse any return/exchange if the above conditions are not met.
